Do you have any seiners in the area Blanca? If no, I'd be happy to send some your way. We have about 8 or 10 that have taken up residence in the Asuncion area, wrapping up pretty much everything swimming offshore, and what they are leaving is extremely boat shy. Their spotter choppers look like a swarm of bees out there. A couple come into our anchorage in the evening for supplies. Each skiff load of supplies include 30% foodstuff and 70% beer, which is scary in itself.

That's why the fishing on the other side, like around Mulege and Punta Chivato got so bad. It'll take longer because you are open to the vast pacific, but .........Bummer.

the seiners...13 of em for a couple days pretty much stayed just outside the 2,5 mile border and said they were wrapping only skipjack. Most are gone today which is good although some town merchants love them as they buy beer by the ton, cigarettes and play pool!

No they are well outside of the Yellowtail zone. In fact, they are working further down the line now. Imagine that. They must read Baja Nomads. The problem at the YT spots is Bonito. Thick with them where ever you go. Can't get your jigs past them.
