At the end of the brewing year, in time for the Holidays, Tecate cleans out the bottom of their vats... Good dark beer, have a pint and it's Good
Night!
Seriously, Noche Buena is also Christmas Eve, the Good Night.

DahVeed!
Please dont call it old Tecate scrapings!
It's a really nice brew, with a hops introduction slightly weaker than the caramelized malted barley sweetness, making it a lovely nut-brown ale in my
book.
But that's just my opinion.
Delicious!.

I think it’s a bock (hvy lager) and not an ale

Flavor's right, though.

Ha! I missed this because when I see 'DahVeed' I think of David Eidell...
I was half joking, but that is what I was told by someone when I first saw this beer many years ago. It doesn't matter does it, if it tastes good?
I used to enjoy dark brews until the 1979 Baja 1000, which was sponsored by Negra Modelo beer... I had way too much of that the night before we
started the race! Who here like Anchor Steam, as well? Not so dark, but depending on the meal XX Amber and Bohemia are good. I just don't like IPAs as
all the Millenials do.

Try alesmith 394. It is a pale ale, like an IPA, but lacks the bitterness of IPA. Pretty reliably found stocked on tap in San Diego bars

They had cases of it at City Club in San Jose last Sunday - got a couple of them @ 359 pesos for 24 bottles. Pretty tasty Bock. I have 1 case of
last year's batch left, so it is time to drink it up. The OXXO here in Los Barriles carried the 12 pack boxes last year, so will have to check with
them soon. Love this time of year.

I like NB too - but wish the alcohol was less than 5.9%. That's a bit high for me since I have a low tolerance for alcohol - but do love to drink
cerveza!!
Can anyone recommend a Mexican dark cerveza with less than 5% alcohol? Does one even exist?

Wish Modelo was still brewing the Noche Buena... Bohemia version just isn't the same.
In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for
you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the
future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?
