I’m pretty sure it’s normally spelled “yurt.”
Put beds in the yurts. Cots are for tents. Yurts should be pretty deluxe accommodation. Put in hardwood floors, nice furniture, bathrooms, etc. and
they would be good lodging.
If you want to be more minimalist, then go with cots in wall tents on platforms, and shared bathhouse.
San q gets cool at night, and cool in off season, so equip tents or yurts with oil or propane heaters.

Raised floors are great as it can be so wet at San Quintin...
We really liked when Cielito Lindo (Dave and Juanita) Gypsy's RV Park was open with its INDOOR camping building... the early 2000s.

Guaranteed clean sheets. The staff will be on hand when you arrive. If you don't like the sheets we will clean.

thats what I thought, but fishy boy says one of the superstars hes bringing in is a vegan that survives on subsistance fishing? just trying to
figure out how that all works.

Perhaps his superstar practices subsistence farming, and the “subsistence fishing” is to what he does to provide fertilizer for his garden. Would
caching fish to fertilize garden qualify as vegan?
I suppose we will know after fishy opens his hotel and we can visit the vegan breakfast buffet he will provide to guests.

Good point, although a lot of those costs can diminish with volume. Your figures are only the cost of the 1st customer. Marginal costs should
decrease with volume. You haven't included the investment in yurts, beds, etc. That first guest is the most expensive.
Fishbuck,
Perhaps you should calculate some of your costs before you decide on a pricing structure? You're going to have some sunk costs in the structures,
beds, bedding, furniture, facilities, etc. Need to plan how to amortize those costs. Also, need some kind of estimate of your potential number of
clients. How are you going to advertise? Any possible financing, so it's not all out of your pocket? Taxes, business licenses, citizenship issues
regarding business ownership, local authorities, land use restrictions. Any of those could pop up and bite you in the arse.
We called that a "business plan" back in B school. Always nice to start with a solid, well critiqued, brutally realistic, and very conservative
plan, don't be taken in by the "stars in your eyes." Your idea sounds wonderful, but you need a well thought out plan to maximize any chance of
success.
At least you're looking at a business you can probably continue to do as you age out.
Notice that some folks have difficulty operating their businesses (or lose them) if they get too old or happen to be sick or injured. The private
flying business seems particularly susceptible to age or illness issues for you as a pilot. Running a B&B is not as dependent on your physical
abilities or health. That's a good thing for sure in your favor. BajaBlanca and shari seem to keep the lights on quite well.
