Does anybody have a road report for Asuncion?

I just drove Phoenix-San Felipe-Guerrero Negro and have seen enough bad roads.
Towing a small bouncy trailer behind a Honda Pilot is making me pothole-averse.
I really want to enjoy some cool-weather kayak fishing before heading south.
Thank you in advance...I know someone is awake tonight with a report.

If you made it to GN than by far the worst part is over. The road from Vizcaino to Asuncion is better than any of the road you have traveled for the last 500 miles. There are a couple places where sand dunes get blown over half way across the road but I just drove it today, twice and even those area have been attended to by a front loader very recently. Look me up when you get here.

Thanks!
That's the normal road I know, with the drifting sand.
I was remembering when the road was washed out
from runoff from the mountains dozens of miles away.

I still haven't decided if I want to unpack all of my gear
before I set up my 6-month camp down south.
My fishing stuff is buried in the vehicle or trailer somewhere,
Maybe inside the big propane fridge...:bounce:
