Huerta Don Chano RV Park, Mulege, BCS

Tent-camping here 3 nights with dog. In my opinion, this place continues to be one of the best campgrounds on the Baja peninsula. Good wi-fi & clean bathrooms & friendly people. No evidence of damage from hurricane at this time. Price includes all utilities. 200 pesos/night. Unlike the majority of places in Mexico/Baja, this place hasn't deteriorated when you visit again.

Interesting fact about Mulege there has been no hurricane in over a year now. So, wa-la no hurricane damage.
Everything looks great, I see this park from my front door and they do have a fun time over there. Getting there is a small challenge this year so far since they have the street from the fire dept to Sauls torn up installing water lines and now coming up to the Hacienda hotel doing the same. Looks like new band stand being built in the square along with some new lighting.
Lots of work going on around the town.

Yes, I was very impressed with it when I checked it out last year, researching for the new road guide. I only took these pics by there:

If I stayed there I would have to swim the moat to get to Jungle Jims.

What is Jungle Jims?
I am going to be at Don Chanos at some point in the next month.
Is this something worth investigating or just an inside joke?

Are you suggesting that the error was mine? Highly unlikely that I could be wrong.....but I am going to delete my post anyway!

positive experience here

We've camped here a time or two - Huerta Don Chano's - I'm referring to.

Pleasant time, quiet.
