All of this is produced on a set out at Groom Lake, NV. Just like global warming and the moon landing, totally fake news. I can't believe you all are so gullible. What's that Thomas Dolby song, "They Blinded me with Science?"

If this is true I wish they would hire Steven king or Quentin Tarantino to direct it. It would have a twist for sure.

Sometimes (actually, oftentimes) I wonder at the justification of trying to export our "civilization" to other planets/solar systems, etc.

I mean, if we can't get it together as a species on this great planet, why would we want to infest the rest of the galaxy?

If we are determined to choke ourselves and alter our climate without legitimate preventative measures, what good is trying to find a new world to contaminate? Just to further our species? Why? Shouldn't we spare the rest of the planets/galaxy our fate?

We need to fix things here, first. That's an incredible amount of money that could do some good on earth; b-tchen pics, notwithstanding.

Now, if we discovered something that furthered our species, that would be great.

Like maybe a great craft beer that tastes great and is less filling...........

US Marines: providing enemies of America an opportunity to die for their country since 1775.

What I say before any important decision.
F*ck it.

Agree that space exploration continues with amazing results, however there appears to be some negatives to the human species and perhaps other living organisms from this exploration, at this time. Of note "virus" were left out as they are not considered as "living" organisms, which is an interesting classification when it comes to space exploration and living organisms

"• Previous space flight studies have demonstrated changes in bacterial and fungal growth rates, virulence (infection potential), host susceptibility (vulnerability) to infection and changes in drug resistance. However, these changes are not yet fully understood. Because of past findings it is hypothesized that during long-duration space flight, the virulence of pathogenic (disease producing) microbes may be enhanced and normally harmless microbes might become pathogenic.”

This has been going on a rather long period of time

the atmosphere looks somewhat like LA back in the 50's .. dirty brown

We are so lucky... if we want to visit a different planet, we just drive about 300 miles south!

Great discussion. Favorite "fun" points: space research is a conspiracy theory (ha ha ha ha) and we want to export ourselves. The latter may be true but it seems to be more of a search of "did life exist here?"

It all started with Columbus (or maybe my ancestor Eric the Red)
If they had just stayed home and tended to business instead of crossing the seas life would have been a lot better for those of us here in America....
oh, wait, if the had not ventured out, there would be no America
or Baja
or, well you get it.

Explore on brave people!!
