Play it safe. Take your trip somewhere else, where you can be sure of 1. the law and 2. your rights. I've lived abroad (mostly in Asia, Africa and
Middle East) for last 30 years and as much as I might enjoy a doobie - I never have outside my home country (USA). Because I just don't know how
things might turn out. Tell your friend you refuse to travel with him/her to a country where MJ is illegal. Especially in your car.
Geez, get real. If you have to ask on a forum what's legal... How much do you value your personal liberty?
You've heard from numerous people here. How much more do you want? Would you prefer face down on the ground with your hands cuffed behind your back
before you make a decision?

Responses with laughable ignorance. FYI. I’ve been stopped at the SI checkpoint and searched for pot that couldn’t be found. They
weren’t happy after giving up. IF I wanted to get something down, it would be no problem at all. I am too paranoid to travel with anything
but know many who have no problem. Oil has no smell from one source. Vape pens do not smell at all. For the large number bringing down
personal stuff, it’s a non-issue. Sometimes it’s called hiding in plain sight.
Ignore those here with zero experience and think CBD belongs in Schedule I narcotics category. When MX goes legal for gringoes, these doofuses
will still be fear mongering.

think it’s pretty stupid to be a gringo possessing pot in Mexico. Cops catch you with dope and you are now their cash machine - they will flock with
you because they know you got money but no clout.

Right - I think you misunderstood -  I was more curious about personal
experiences with the recent legal changes to decriminalize marijuana in Mexico.
I’m aware of what’s legal and isn’t - I know better than to soley use a forum as my source, but am seeking as much info as possible. It
doesn’t sound like you have a personal experience with this topic, so while being condescending and judgy may validate your own feelings it
doesn’t really contribute to the topic in a useful or productive manner.

So... it looks like 5 grams or less is legal on the mainland but baja may be different. May be more strict.
The Mex supreme court ruled it unconstutional for it to be illegal.
Ofcourse the internet is full of conflicting information.
My personal experience is that I am usually asked if I want some if I stand around too long in one spot when I am in Ensenada.
Usually in the vicinity of Anthony's.

The flipside of my research on this is that the Mexican marijuana farmers and tourism lobby is pushing for full recreational legalizing.
Seems the farmers can't compete with Westcoast weed so are going out of biz.
And the tourism boss wants to go destination weed for Baja.
So interesting times forsure...
Funny the Cabo bars don't want it because they think it will cut down on booze consumption...

MX has used medicinal cannabis for a long time. Behind the curve, they will never catch up to the laboratories in California and Colorado.
BTW California prices for bud are double the prices in Colorado. Check out Santa Cruz Veterans Alliance. Brothers helping Brothers.

It is very easy to bring marijuana into Baja....when properly stored (stashed) in a vehicle.
One should be creative and be willing to take the risk....experience helps...
And all the Nomads judging pot users should take a look at their own use of alcohol....

Wolfpack, it seems you came to the wrong place to ask about the laws, rules and practices surrounding Marijuana use in Mexico/Baja, and coming into
Mexico.
