I must have forgot to include wimpy answers like the one Willardguy gave.
I'm watching the football game now and I'm not giving any answers.
But clearly there is an answer if marijuana, is legal, illegal or decriminalized in Mexico, depending on the amount you're carrying for personal use.
If members don't know the answer, either look it up or don't say anything, but please don't give wrong information.
There is the "practice" too, and I think Willardguy, was going in the right direction before he wimped out.

So does everybody know what the current about in Mexico, is regarding marijuana?
Marijuana, is still not legal, however in 2009, Mexico decided not to prosecute those carrying a relatively small quantities of marijuana, cocaine,
heroin, and a few other drugs. If caught they were suppose to be referred to treatment centers, not jail.
So if caught with 5 grams or less of marijuana, the Mexican police, might mess with you, but it's unlikely you will be taken before a judge, and
sentence to a long prison sentence in a Mexican prison.
In 2015 the Mexican Supreme court ruled to allow people to grow marijuana for their own personal use. However, the problem there is technically, the
ruling only applied to the four people who brought the case to the Supreme court, because court precedents don't work the same way as in the US, but
the marijuana laws are going in the right direction in Mexico.
In 2017 Mexico, actually marijuana for medical and scientific purposes, so again Mexico is headed in the right direction.
I would be careful about products with CBD, because the law permits CBD products with THC below 1% to act as supplements, and that's just too low, and
should be raised. ( it's the THC" that gives the buzz)
Now if you want to bring marijuana to Mexico, or just smoke it in Mexico, that's your call, however, I wouldn't worry too much about the police,
although they may mess with you and even ask you for a bribe.
I have know Americans, who come to Tijuana, and buy Viagra in Mexico, and the corrupt cops mess with them too. They claim you need a prescription
for ED medicine like you do in the US, and they point to the package of ED medicine, that says, something about a prescription.
It's a nice way to get a bribe from hapless American tourists, but I don't know of anybody actually going to jail or having a Viagra pill, or a
marijuana joint.
In California, marijuana, is now actually legal for even recreational use, but it doesn't stop rogue cops, from harassing motorists, especially if
they are black or Hispanic, because there are still strict rules regarding where you can smoke it or have an open container.
Cops from both side of the border, who needs them, but if you know the laws, you can deal with them and make them back off.

It's great to see Canada, out front of both the USA and Mexico, regarding the legalization of marijuana. I was an early investor in Aurora Cannabis,
in Canada, and it's strange to see Canadian company providing a Mexican distribution /pharmaceutical company with weed. Some questioned that moved
wondering if a Mexicans will buy Canadian weed, when Mexico, has their own distribution network.
Perhaps, when Mexico, fully legalizes marijuana, Mexican weed, will then have the reputation of quality marijuana, because the country certainly has
the weather and soil conditions to grow a quality product, but right now because of the laws, Mexican weed, is of very low quality.

Canada may have legalized cannabis, but it is still illegal to bring it into their country!
I crossed through the Yukon and B.C. toward the end of October, and there was a new sign at the entry point, and I was specifically asked if I had
any.
Edit; I need to add that since I did not have any, I don't know what the consequence would be if I did!

So made it here safely without issue in that regard. The guys at the military checkpoint seemed more worried about being bit by our tail wagging pups
than anything in our vehicle. Thanks for the info though!

Glad to hear, if you have any left over to bring home make sure you cross back over the border into California, Its legal there.

I'd say not so fast on that idea... it's legal in the State, but the BP and customs guys are all Federal where it's still illegal. Use it all up or
pay it forward to someone in need or if found or sniffed out you may wind up in the hoosegow.

I think the Beemer is just kidding, but I would say to weed smokers, in both Canada, and Mexico, enjoy it in those countries, but don't bring it back
over the border, because the Federal boys, at the border, may take you in the back room for a cavity check or for the beating of your life,
because of the old archaic Federal laws that treat marijuana as a dangerous schedule I drug.
I would not recommend this, but if I was hell bent on bringing over a small quantity of marijuana for personal use back into the US. I would take the
pedestrian route back into the US,because I rarely see the drug-sniffing when I walk in, compared to the long lines when you drive through US customs.

It would have to be a VERY unusual circumstance for me to bring anything back, like a stroke. In AZ where we live my spouse can purchase at the store,
and CA anyone can. I'm hoping Beamer Dan was kidding. Sarcasm is hard to hear on the forum
