Whale Sharks La Paz December 2018

Did a whale shark trip yesterday here in La Paz. Fortunately there wasn't much wind so trip was more enjoyable. I found photographing whale sharks was more difficult than gray whales since they don't surface as gray whales. Out of over 80 photos these were the only good ones-but at least I have these.
Came here last year at a different month and did not see any near the surface as this time; so felt very lucky. Facebook site: Benjamin Duarte La Paz

I believe, you chose the best guide to watch those whale sharks.
Benjamin is such a nice guy, and so knowledgeable.
It is a real pleasure to be around him.

Wow on the second photo. We've tried hard but never managed to get one with the mouth open like that.

You need a camera with a good zoom. I have a Canon Powershot bridge camera. It takes great closeup photos and not expensive $250.
