Rancho Santa Veronica
Anyone stayed there recently? For the past 15 years I’ve launched from Calexico or Jacumba. Thought I might save an hour plus if we rode across this
Feb instead of staying at the Hot Springs hotel in Jacumba evening before the ride starts. I haven’t crossed over from the Compadre trail to the
Laguna Hanson trail in a long time. Any locked gates- problems?
Thanks all. A good bed and meals pre ride is worth the extra time if RSV has fallen into disrepair

Stayed there about a year ago. Same as ever. Cold in winter. Restaurant is always good.

One time several years ago there was a husband and wife managing the place and my brother and I sat down for dinner. She told us they just got a
shipment of New York steaks and they were great so that's what we ordered. I never had a tougher stead in my life. It was like eating shoe leather. A
couple months later I stop by again with a friend and again ordered the New York steak and again it was like shoe leather. I don't think I've eaten
another New York steak anywhere after that.

They do or did have a great Sunday brunch, all you can eat. The margaritas are not bad either. Some of the rooms had a wood stove or fire place I
don't remember and a small pile of wood you could burn at night. It does get cold there in the winter.

Lol. Was probably steak from one of the bulls hanging on the wall. I have only eaten breakfast there.

This place looks cool. My Honda might be ok here for some short trail rides.

We where there last dec 2017 ice cold rooms . They wanted to charge our group of 13 for fire wood to heat rooms. You may notice there are no more wood
chairs outside the rooms. To add all fire places smoke out rooms and bar. It has not changed in 30 or more years.

I don't expect much but over 30 years and they cant make a smoke stack . Or fix the one they have ice cold dec and they want to charge to heat there
rooms. HAAAAA We may go back if they got new wood chairs to burn.

Maybe best to take an electric blanket. haha, don't remember if they had receptacles in the rooms.

We stayed there last November. The food was fine and people friendly. It was cool at night but we had our own sleeping bags. Think they were
selling firewood for stoves for $5/bundle. There were a lot of friendly dogs there, if nothing else bring your own flea collar take one of them to
bed. Our bikers had a good time riding in the area and then rode through Hanson and Ojos and met up with us in Ensenada. There is a color TV in the
bar/dinning room.

Thanks, I'll just stay at Jacumba Hot Springs, they watch our trailers, etc, have a nice little bar and restaurant, a few space Aliens in February
too. I like the Laguna Hanson road from Rumarosa. I can pick up the Tres Hermanos to Urapan/Santo Tomas/ Cal's from Ojos or the Goat Trail to VT/El
Coyote, depending on weather and my mood.

That sounds like a great ride. Coyote Cal's sure was a friendly place for m/c riders... Rancho El Coyote, too!

Stayed there 2 weeks ago.
They charge $80 a room, which is quite steep imho.
No hot water.
Restaurant was closed down when we showed up at 7pm on Friday night.
But there is a little market across the street where you can get gas and beer, which is nice.
And cant beat the single track there! Only reason I keep going back.

80 seems high but I think I need some single track... you know to warm up for next year's Dakar.
I'll start with a 1 mile loop that starts and ends at the beer store. So like 6 laps
