Mike's Sky to Meling

We've been told by the folks at Mike's Sky Ranch that the road is clear and "doable" over to Meling's. Can any of the Nomads verify?? We had given up on this approach after a post here that said it was impassible even by motorcycle... We are looking at a Suburnban as the likely vehicle. Thanks in advance for any recent "first hand" report..
