'bbbait' (Wayno) March 2019 Pics of: Gonzaga, Coco's, Piedra Blanca
Wayno sent me some new photos taken this past week at Rancho Grande, Alfonsina's, Coco's Corner, and Rancho Piedra Blanca & the nearby giant cave
art site... both along the road between El Arco and Punta San Francisquito.
The man pointing out the cave art site also has a store in Guerrero Negro that sells curios and knives and air guns, etc. I will add those pics later.
In a nice bit of news, Wayno said he sold his longtime business in Blythe, B&B Bait and is now a Baja resident. Congratulations!!! Maybe he needs
a new Nomad handle from bbbait?

WOW the Alfonsina's restaurant and lobby sure has changed...we ve been to Rancho Grande and visited friends at Alfie's but havent been to the bar area
in a while...WOW! "Eco Hotel Boutique"? Where is Rancho Piedra Blanca?

I pulled into Piedra Blanca about noon a few years ago, and was the only one there. The place was immaculately maintained, and a woman came out and
offered to open up the restaurant if I was hungry.
I was, so while she fired up the kitchen to turn out some excellent machaca burritos, I took my gentle old dog for a brief walk. The lady liked my
dog, and as I prepared to put Cleo back in the car she said it would be alright if I brought her in with me.
This is a working ranch, and they produce machaca, and fresh cheese in commercial quantities. They had both for sale the first time I stopped there,
but had shipped their entire inventory to market the next time I visited, so if you see it, buy it!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

I hope everyone who is able can visit these wonders of early man in Baja before they are fenced off from the public as is happening in so many places.
Rancho Piedra Blanca advertises tours of the cave on their Facebook page.

the guide's name is Zihul and I cant recommend him enough...best dang guide EVER!!! and his shop is amazing and well worth the visit. Turn right at
the street after TErra Sal Hotel just at the entrance to GN...he has a sign on the corner and his shop is a few blocks down on the left side.
We had a blast with Wayno's group whale watching too!
He fixed me up with some cough syrup..hahahaha

Do some digging on google earth. You will see a trail through the desert at Mesa El Carmen. Worth the trip. It is before Piedra Blanca as you drive
east from El Arco.
Stopped at Piedra Blanca for a meal the next day. Great people, good food.
