Lodging in Catavina?
Hello Nomads. I am planning a trip in April and passing through Catavina. El Mision is booked. Does anyone have contact info for the Pink Palace (I
know, the place is a bit run down ) or any other lodging in the area? Thanks in advance!

Cabañas Linda is the pink motel. No contact info known.
If camping is not an option, then El Rosario is just 76 miles away, northbound with many options (Baja Cactus Motel, Motel Turista, Baja's Best
B&B, Mama Espinoza's Las Cabañas, Motel Sinahi) or Bahia de los Angeles, 100 miles southbound. Gonzaga Bay is even closer... if you fly a plane!
About 25 miles east!! By road, 70 miles via Laguna Chapala.

There is a sort of a hotel at the end of bumpy road in Sta Inez - don't know if it even has a name.
Otherwise, if you need 99.9% sure anything (not that I believe in such a thing in Baja) - stop in El Rosario or BOLA.

Thanks for the feedback. We are going to roll the bones and opt for the Pink Palace with camping as a backup. I will report back hotel conditions.
Last time I was there, it was acceptable, especially given there were no other choices available.

No contact info but we just stayed at Hotel Linda last week, not much to it, very basic. Everything seemed clean and the shower was hot, we were on
moto's and aren't to picky! Not sure that camping wouldn't be better if you have your gear...

Similar to my past experiences. People like to pick on the place, but the owners are very accommodating and a hot shower is a great thing after a day
on the trail!

The bunkhouse at Santa Inez is pretty cool, and definitely authentic Mexican rancho. Also, I'd check at the El Mision when you get there - more often
than not hotels in Baja that say they are booked have a room when you show up at the from desk. Quein sabe?

Pink motel rancho inez owned by same owner. Sad as I would camp and sleep in tent . Before I would go back the fancy place way over priced for Mexico.

You would camp instead of the Pink Palace or Rancho Inez? Last time I stayed at the Pink Palace (otherwise known as the Pepto Bismol Palace), it was
not at all expensive.
