Shore Fishing

Fishing the Flat Rocks 5/22/19. This area has been heavily netted and today four of us only got one small fish in an hour or more. The far point in the photo did produce two nice grouper 3 & 5 pounds. San Marcos Tierra estuary was a no fish area also, both ends. Sometimes the tide and moon has quite an effect on fishing here but fish stocks are definitely hurting. Used Krocs, Cast Masters, Scami, Hopkins and several other heavy lures for distance.

Great Russ!

As you can see, Photobucket has made another change, all new photos added are at giant size. You need to type into the link you post on Nomad =800x (right after the IMG in the link, no spacing).

Good job, Russ... you did it!

www.Postimages.org still has the upload size setting feature. They give you a lot of different links, too. For Nomad chose the Hotlinks for Forums, down by the last choice of links.

Thanks! It took several tries. Kinda liked the detail in the huge image though.

The building on the point is what we hope will be a restaurant. The other is a house in the Dolphin Cove development which I believe is for sale now.

Like the pic Russ, shame about the fish stocks.....all that green on slanted flat rock I bet it would easy to bust one's butt:lol:
Rob

Anyone can catch fish in a boat but only \"El Pescador Grande\" can get them from the beach.

I hope when my time comes the old man will let me bring my rod and the water will be warm and clear.

Baitcast, Funny, I did crash this trip but only because I wasn't looking where I was going. Slippery stuff I'm more aware of.... mostly.
Howard, Photobucket is such a pain now that it's too much trouble and after the first hundred + sunrises they just don't have the same excitement.

Here is the grouper Russ mentioned.

Also, bajarun, here a corvina I caught the next day out off of hammer head from the rocks.

And a halibut same day as the corvina, prolly a 14 inch halibut, threw him back to grow up some.

It was fun Russ, going again tomorrow (Sunday). Wanna go?

Yes. I got the flat tire repaired and ready. Even cleaned the lures.
