Tecate crossing

Just thought I would share some goods New about crossing at Tecate. Came back from 10 days at Punta Chivato and crossed at Tecate in a whopping 3 minutes. There were 3 cars in front of us when we got in line and we were in the states in about 3 minutes. Fastest crossing I have ever had in 20+ years of traveling in Baja. It was Sat evening 6/1 at about 7:30 or so.

Get sentri or GE and you wont have to detour 2 hours into the mountains to find a short line.

I would bet that Monday morning and Friday afternoon are the worst times to cross. Do you know how long Tijuana or Otay was at that time?

David. The website said 75 minutes at San Ysidro and Tecate at 8am.

I cross at Tecate 3-4 times per month. Usually on Monday mornings and at 9am the wait has been 3 minutes and usually around 20 minutes. Lately it has been 45 minutes to 120 minutes.

Also a note. There is no militar at the Tecate border crossing directing traffic any longer.

10-4 thanks.
My last Tecate crossing was in August of 2018, midweek, very fast, like one car ahead of me in the afternoon.

Last month, we crossed at Mexicali East, Friday afternoon, very fast, maybe 12 cars in front.
