How about a masseuse in at the camp...
And we don't care what language she speaks...;)

I can't stay out of this any longer....:fire:

I have met people in Asuncion who have fished with FF and they all reported he was ignoring his guides expectations and physically putting others in the panga at risk with slap-dash fishing efforts and was generally a disrespectful loud-mouthed yahoo.

One of the great things about Bahia Asuncion is that it is NOT overrun by gringos

His comments above list ALL the things Bahia Asuncion does NOT need. His archaic idea of what a "fishcamp" is simply stupid....Asuncion has fishing cooperatives that represent professional fish management....and could teach this clown a few things about fishing.

Asuncion does NOT need " a place for me and my kind"....it is a wonderful place because his kind don't stay for more than a day or two.

While there seems to be a small group (ie. 2 people) who joke about having a bar and bordello as a means of self-sufficiency in Asuncion, FF has jumped on this failing bandwagon idea the way he impulsively clings on to so many fleeting posts on Nomads.

FF is like a fly at a fishcamp: irritating, a nuisance, and needs to be swatted into a splatter on the wall.

Hey Fishy, put down the bottle of tequilla, quit typing, and spend a bit of time studying for your students pilot licence. Someday, you may need it - you know, when youi graduate from the plastic airplane ride in front of the grocery store you spend your quarters on !

Perhaps fishbreath can give us telephone numbers of his family members, then we can call them when he goes off his meds.
Fishbreath appears to need frequent interventions.
His neighbors should keep a taser handy for days fishy gets a bit manic.

Shari,

My first thought was this could be the start of a destination location catering to scuba and fishing trips. with the idea that the "camp" works closely with the fishing co-op providing guides, diver support, guidance etc - good neighbors policy type thing. I know you already know how to build a nice glamp camp - is that something you see as a possibility here?

Any idea how that would be accepted in BA? i know it would bring jobs to the area, and money, but it might be pretty disruptive to the local community as well.

BA is a really nice place, I wouldn't like to see it lose some of that local charm!

Glamping for middle age surfers, eh?
How does glamping fit in the surfer ethos?

So yes. A little camp fisherman/surfer friendly. With some entertainment.
I love the little town... but it's boring.
When fishing is good to the north... it's a long drive for...

You must find me interesting because you keep bothering me...
And I deny your curtious request.
