Beautiful spot and great fishery. Not the best spot for a kayak fisherman. Because it is located on the most narrow choke point on the SOC, the
tidal currents are brutal. A strong paddler will have trouble making headway against the tide. Every little point has an associated eddy or
whirlpool. Always plan our fishing sessions so the tide will take you back to where you want to go. I always camp at the base of the runway when I
go there.

This trip could turn inTo spliting a panga in BOLA. If anyone wants to do that I will save San Francisquito for another day.
But otherwise we sail (fish) on the tide. Maybe 2-3 hour window focused on hightide. Or low.

My "Holy Grail" on this is that I have read that yellowtail can be caught from the beach there.
Has anyone on Baja Nomad actually done that?

We caught a very small one once out of the inflatable but not from the beach. Halibut, corvina, sardinera in the rocks are pretty common.

I'd be coming from Bahia and that would be better for you too. Less off road total and the road from Bahia down and back is in fine shape, I was out
there a couple weeks ago.

You might want to consider Las Animas camp (top map posted by DK). I have not fished there, but I enjoyed the challenging road and excellent scenery
when I drove in there a couple of years ago.
It should be good for your kayak. Even if the wind is blowing, there are some mangrove lagoons that might be fun. The "hard way" to B.O.L.A. is my
route of choice, love that road!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

Since my goal here is a yellowtail I might just fish a panga from BOLA.
It doesn't sound promising from the kayak.

I've been to Las Animas a couple times and it is pretty cool there but never caught fish except for one halibut.
