Big Dawgs vs. Little Dawgs
I've had 5 dogs, big and small, over the years. I now have two little guys and I like small dogs the best. They're portable, pick 'em up an put them
somewhere, like your lap. And at night, a small dog or two in bed is much better than some big lug who wants to hog the middle.
Of course, less food to buy and doo to deal with too.
All, well most, dogs are great but the little guys are the best in my book.

medium size the best i say, 30-50lbs
those little micro yappers are too fragile for my lifestyle

My wife & I help support a rescue in San Quintin (Refugio para Mascotas Good Boy) and we transport dogs north to be adopted. Lily was in a batch
of 6 dogs and wasn't doing well in the cage so Deb kept her on her lap for the whole journey. Lily has joined our pack now....

Damn!....you know I always travel with a dog, and now I am going to be shamed into actually posting a photo! BajaBlanca posted a picture of us in
March of 2018, but I haven't made the effort to upload photos yet.
I would pick a medium size dog to travel with, but sometimes the dog picks you. The girl I have now did that, and she is 90 pounds of muscle and
bone!
I will bet Terrence is a good boy, and my girl looks like a darker brown cross between him and a long legged hound!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

This is Charlie Brown, my vicious attack dog/copilot. He loves the water but is not particularly fond of off-roading.
The first pic is from when I took him down to Cueva del Pirata when he was just a baby. The second one is from my last trip. I stayed in La Paz for a
couple days at the Hotel Yeneka.
Funny story. On the way home from this latest trip, I decided to just drive as far as I could that night because it was going to be
raining everywhere the next day and I just wanted to go home. It got dark right at Guerrero Negro but I kept on driving, carefully.
I stopped about a half hour later at the side of the road to take a discreet pee break. Charlie jumped on the armrest to see what I was up to and just
happened to land on the door lock. Thanks, buddy. The keys were in the truck and the windows were up. It was very cold and I was
wearing a short sleeved teeshirt dress. I'm trying to stay calm but it's really cold and it's dark and I'm on the side of a Mexican road. After a bit
I realize there is nothing I can do with what I have, so I decide to try to get someone to stop and help me. A big rig pulls over and I'm hoping that
it's not some sleazy guy or serial killer or some such.
A very nice young man and his 9 year old son get out. We try a few things but nothing is working. All of a sudden a light goes on in his eyes and he
pulls out this gigantic ring of keys and picks one. He sticks it in the lock, jiggles it about for a bit, and voila! the door unlocks! Saved!
Not murdered! Made it home without hitting a cow in the dark!
So that was the time my dog locked me out of the truck.

Good story and your name suits you. HaHa
As for the lock-out story one thing that is VARY important is to have a hide-a-key. They sell magnetic ones that I have put in various places hidden
under the car ( like on top of a frame or gas tank).
I now have a Honda Element and there is nowhere to use a magnetic hide-a-key so I had to double cable tie a $100 dollar key in a hard to find place
under the car.
Long story short but is saved my butt when I accidentally locked myself out after spending the night in my rig in Coco lot.
Since I've given up all hope, I feel much better

I am SURE lovin' this thread as I am a serious Dog lover.
I do have a rapport with most all dogs as I love them and they know it.
Every trip to Baja I bring a bunch of treats from Costco with me for the Dogs I meet. As you know a lot of Baja Dogs are not takin care of vary well
so it is nice to bring some joy to them.
There are some good lookin' Dogs ya'll got there.
Since I've given up all hope, I feel much better

La Paz Rescue
A friend found two dogs in a garbage can in La Paz. We ended up with the smaller one which was a female.

Paco is a Mexican Shephard.... really. He's made the trip so many times he knows the stops as well as we do. Loves to run....while I ride the bike,
loves the water....up to belly deep..... and he loves Mexicans! hahaha
