John, in one part of the add it shows 244000 miles and in another, it shows 244,00! What is the mileage, 244000 or 24,400?

mileage - I'll correct it to show what is correct
should read 244,000 - lots of miles but mechanically very sound. We've used it in Baja on lots of trips, TMW can vouch for it's reliability.

The 4-door standard bed is 5 feet. John's in the same model as mine.
The engine is an ox... John's care is meticulous. Changing the oil regularly is all you do to keep the 4.0 V-6 happy.

A 5 foot bed can be a challenge when it comes to finding a camper, carrying kayaks etc.
Re:engine- how is the mileage in the Toyota?
(My Mazda B-4000 is also a 4.0/6 cylinder. Not great mileage, but appreciate the extra power.)

David K, should be a salesman! But, he is correct regarding regular servicing. I've had the oil changed every 5,000 to 6,000 miles, transmission
serviced every 50,000 or so (I do have all of the service records) as well as all the fluids changed a number of times. A couple of years ago I had
all of the engine compartment hoses replaced with factory hoses, cooling system serviced regularly. I've really paid attention to all of the details.
Gone the "extra" step like with the front axles & lower control arms a year or two ago - I've wanted it to be dependable for all of the Baja and
east Mojave trips we've done.
Obviously I have no way to predict what's ahead but you are certainly welcome to have it checked out. Never been in an accident though there is a ding
in one of the rock sliders and another behind the left rear tire.
I don't know which Craigslist posting is here on Nomad but the option for the tool box, can carrier, and bed rack is still on the table. I had listed
it at $12,000 on Craigslist but we've rethought it and now are offering it for $10,000.

That is/was an awesome truck -- a solid buy for the next owner. I just sold my '06 and got a fresh '19 4x4 off road, access cab, long bed.

Also interesting, the '19 V6 is spec'd for engine oil viscosity 0W-20.

I think one of the reasons is that engines tolerances are much tighter now so a thinner oil is needed. Overall engines have been lasting much longer
partly due to better lubricants and partly due to better manufacturing.

The 2010 Toyota engine calls for SAE 0-30 (dyno).
I am now running 10-30 Castrol Edge High Mileage synthetic (switched from dyno about 30,000 miles ago.
I think I was running 10-40 Castrol 'GTX' synthetic during all my Baja trips in 2017?

down with over 360 on speedo. Only brakes oil belt changes.

You pay a premium for Toyota quality.
One of the many good things about getting older, any car that will last 100K miles is going to outlast me, given my age and the amount I drive.
