Tropical Storm Lorena

Soon to be Hurricane Lorena and hit Cabo Corrientes and Puerto Vallarta ...

Due to pass Baja to the west starting Saturday morning ... things could change (for the better for Baja) if it goes significantly onshore down south ... should know more on that tomorrow ...

as always http://eebmike.com/ has the info ...

worth keeping an eye on if you are in BCS ...

This one shows it getting a bit closer to the southern tip of Baja.

looks like some rain & wind for the tip but this morning Windy is predicting not too bad...Lorena is shrinking, Mario is more west and things are looking better at this point..but as Juan says....never trust a hurricane let alone 2! But seems to be less ominous this morning.
I will start taking bets for no rain at all in Asuncion as usual!

Lorena sped up considerably so it may be a long night at the tip. The satellite looks like she is going more east up the inside to La Paz.
Roads are sure to be a mess for a few days down south.

It would be great to get some onsite reports amigos...let us know how you are faring Tio Tomas!

Well, Lorena's arrival in Cabo is imminent. And it is predicted to barely be a Cat I hurricane. Still called a tropical storm, pending further data readings.

It still passes close to BA, before heading West. Windy predicts some rain on Sunday-ish there, winds under 20 kt.

just got wind (strong, but not crazy) and rain starting around 130 ... rain has been on and off all morning, sometimes hard ...

from the satellite view it looks like the eye is just about to come ashore east of San José del Cabo ... they say it is moving west and is forecast to veer northwest at some point, not sure that's what I see on the satellite imagery ...

10km or so south of Los Barriles ...
