How are the waves in Mulegé/Punta Chivato? Damn storms take the beach sand away every now and then.

No noticeable beach erosion. Waves now 1 to 2 feet only a breeze now and 81º. I thought I would be locked in with hurricane conditions today. Still
some big clouds down south and if something develops I'll post.

If the road by La Ventana/ Los Planes is damaged that badly, the back road over the pass to El Cardonal and Los Barriles probably took a hard hit!

6pm - 84º - N breeze 6mph - not raining with a total rain of .6". I'm waiting on photo bucket. Surf is large for no wind with set to 5' but average
around 3'. No damage from the surf as far as I can see it never made the high tide mark today. The track model showing the storm has move to the
mainland now (http://eebmike.com/) Maybe photos later...
This photo doesn't show even the average surf but shows there was little or no runoff down my arroyo. Still waiting on photobucket...

Almost one inch in San Carlos, Sonora, and Lorena came quite close to the town. Biggest gust my PWS showed was 28 mph, yesterday around noon.

At home in Yucca Valley working outside earlier under clear skies with nary a cloud visible in any direction, my wife comes out and tells me that
we're under a severe thunderstorm alert from the remnant of Lorena.
Turning to the Weather Channel, I find that (sure enough) they are showing said alert for 12:13 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the
radar showing nearest rain in the Phoenix area extending Northeastward. The shortest period of alert (47 minutes) that I've ever seen. Nothing
occurred, of course.
Very strange.
The 7-day forecast on the same source shows thunderstorm activity for Wednesday and showers Thursday.

Yesterday morning I was driving south on I-17 in AZ and caught the wrath of Lorena. Driving down the hill toward Black Canyon City, we went from dry
to torrential downpour in a matter of seconds -- all interstate bridges had muddy water flowing underneath. I'm a fan of carnage in the desert, so
this was fun to see.
