Sentri Story

So, my friend (Sentri member) calls Otay Sentri office and asks if he may drive a non Sentri enrolled car through the Sentri lanes. He told me he was told yes. I said "you're going to get jacked up". Last weekend he and his wife (Sentri member) took her non Sentri car to Rosarito to pick up his freshly painted truck, Sentri enrolled. They drove back through Otay she in the truck and he in the car. Passed through no questions asked. So whada you know? Go figure.

Both my vehicles are sentri registered but crossing north at Mexicali a couple of months ago I was driving my Ford F350 with my Callen shell on it and the border agent asked me if I had had this rig OK'd through the Sentri, I said yes but then asked her if it didn't show on her computer that this vehicle was registered with Sentri, she just smiled but wouldn't answer the question.
