Agua Verde Road Damage From Recent Rains
A friend just forwarded me a photo of damage to the Agua Verde road at Hail Mary Corner. The recent rains have removed a lot of the concrete. Back
to old times.

I dont think rains in February can do that kind of damage, in that location. Probably it was Hurricane Lorena or Narda in September.

So does it have a guardrail now? Last time I was down there it was wide open off the edge. Must be passable (with some difficulty) to get that shot.

Thanks Lencho! There went another hour of life energy!
That is a great trip, gonna do it again this winter, even if its still an in and out trip. I haven't heard that the other ways out are passable, even
for a bike, and that area took a hit or two from recent rains/tormentos.

The video is from 2015. The pavement in 2017 ended at Km. 10.
In the video, the grade down begins at Minute 25 and goes to Minute 37+. The road to San Cosme is before Minute 38.
The video never gets to Agua Verde, as he turned around before reaching the beautiful bay. How come, Ged?

The Quijano family is the family that owns the land and runs the cows at ranch Ultima Agua and Rancho Palo Blanca. There have always been some
family members who want to cash out the land but I don't think it is currently for sale. The Quijanos has been fighting the Ejido to maintain control
of their land for several years. The Ejido wants to develop it all.
An heir to the Ross Dress for Less fortune built the big house at San Cosme and was going to subdivide it into houses for the Uber Rich, but that
never developed either. He has dug a small marina at San Cosme.
He had a web sight advertising the poperty at one time but it was taken down.

We were there around Nov 7 and the road was perfect no damage at all ... stayed for a week, very few others, perfect weather, and I won’t bore you
with the photos. Swam every morning at 6:30 am, SUP all day around the bay ... camped on the ejido beach this time.

It was open mon 25. I drove down and it was pretty much empty. It was really cloudy and starting to sprinkle so I left. Lotsa rain since then so be
aware.

We go alot to Agua Verde and one time we thought it would be fine to tow a Boston Whaler behind a small pick up...turns out even that was too long and
we had to rebuild corners with rock to make them on a few tight corners...never did that again...got a smaller baby panga and it was fine.
