Baja 1000 Question

going to be heading south early sat AM, probably hitting Ensenada around 6AM and passing through. Any issues / restriction caused by the race? Thanks

You may be stopped to allow racers to cross or enter highway sections used.. it will be brief. The crowds in Ensenada will be along the starting area and the streets used for the race. See the course map. There is a thread for the Baja 1000 map and discussion in the Off Roading forum here on Nomad.

Yes, I just saw that too... The rain has it moved up the arroyo away from the harbor.

Race RVs/trailers are staging in the NB lane at N. end of Marina for a few blocks. Traffic is heavy and lots of activity. Actually, early should be OK. But maybe not.

Any reference for the idea that the starting area has moved? They've race when the wash was running before. Part of the difficulty of the race.

I was just in town - didn't see indication of change and nothing on the SCORE website that I could see. Googled it - and nothing to show there.

Link or reference on suggested change - and if so - to where?

On the way back, the San Matias pass (and other roads) can have some stragglers and if the race course is still GREEN, please be careful when going against race traffic.
