Politically Correct 2020 for the Nomads

Can we have some fun? I read Baja Nomad for Baja info-- not for politics. I have traveled around Baja since the early 70s. It is the great escape from reality. So as to keep all of us focused on a fun 2020, I propose my list of Baja Nomad correct usage of political terms for 2020. Enjoy. I hope you "endorse" the concept. First, the political term followed by the correct Baja Nomad definition---

middle of the road-- where you hope your vehicle can travel while on your favorite Baja dusty road.

left of center-- while on that road, steer left to avoid a hole, rocks, cow etc.

right of center-- see above but steer right.

landslide-- it could be anywhere on that dusty road.

mudslinging-- always happens after a rainstorm.

gerrymander-- that drunk guy from the cruise boat you met at Hussongs who claims that is his name- Gerry Mander

exit poll-- "So how long did it take you at the TJ, Otay, Tecate border?"

majority party-- it is going to be a fiesta/party. Make no plans for the next day.

minority party-- you can still make plans for the next day.

3rd party-- "Was I at the first and second party?"

splinter party-- usually those folks that hang out in the kitchen.

party activist-- person who attends all the parties.

recall-- see 3rd party

pork barrel-- Sounds like a good carnitas restaurant!

thrown under the bus-- usually a cow about midnight on Hwy 1

testing the waters-- what a good fisherman will do.

delegate-- an order. "Ok son, start digging this jeep out of the sand."

disclosure-- "Oh no. Can you pay. Where are my pesos?"

debate-- "That fish was not 10 pounds. It was only 5 pounds."

45-- a number 45 pesos is about $2.40 $45 dollars about 850 pesos
45 km about 28 miles 45 miles about 72 km

Remember, it is about Baja and Baja only. Add your own- but only for fun!

Happy New Year Nomads....
