Beds in La Paz

Recommendations on a cheap, clean, quiet room for a couple of weeks in March. Thanks in advance for your input. I plan to take the bus from the Cabo airport to LP.

Hotel Catedral is $US80 a night - the OP was looking for a cheap room.

There are some $US10 to $US15 a night airbnb in Centenario: https://www.airbnb.com/s/El-Centenario--B.C.S.--Mexico/homes

My experiences traveling economically in Latin America have always been successful by research in "youth" travel forums as well as the active pursuit of the knowledge of fellow travelers. I spent a year traveling in South America for pennies with the South American Handbook in hand. Surely this type of network still exists. There are any number of small hostel type places here in La Paz. Airbnb, large hotels, booking agents and the like are a waste of time.
