Now recommendations for places Near Tecate

Mexico side of border but perhaps not in town as it gets too confusing
trying to figure the town and places out
so I wonder if there are any recommendations for (reasonably priced)
places that are close to Tecate but not in the city itself
Thank You All

It looks like there a few small hotels on the road south once you get out of town; maybe on the southern edge of town? Never stayed there myself because it's logistically too close to the border for an overnight spot for me.

You might try Hacienda Santana, south of the toll road on the right. Has a pool, garden and a bar. Disclaimer: I have not stayed there, only driven by on way to Ensenada

Or further south of the Hacienda Santana on Hwy 3, left side, Estancia Inn

We are going to try the Hacienda Santana this year, the reviews are all very good, but it is in town. Sorry not much help.. But following along as well.
