Saw this on Bloodydecks.

HI All
The COVID-19 is in Cabo we have 15 local cases , that we know about.
The local gov. is madly trying to cover it up, ( tourist Dollars ) . Big surprise.
Please stay HOME !!!!!!!
Mexico's heath care system is BROKE!!!!!!!!!
Please, please please !!!!!!! do not make it worse !!!!!

The map I'm looking at for Mexico doesn't agree so it does speak to the coverup by the government.

It does claim 11 cases in Baja Norte, 6 in TJ and 5 in Mexicali.

i have seen many drug addicts in baja,... the rate of addiction is in many cases greater in rural areas than cities.

When I read this , my first thought was that the powers that be DO NOT want to hurt tourism by reporting a coronavirus case...

tests kits are probably in very short supply, and lab with proper protocols probably has limited capacity to run test -- i wonder of they even have any test kits or a lab in baja?
the story makes sense, if you only got a dozen test kits, you need to follow a logic chart to ration the the few available tests...

Truth.
“The pair, both in their 60s, took chloroquine phosphate, an additive used to clean fish tanks…

The man's wife, who did not want to be named, told NBC News that when she heard Trump mention chloroquine as a potential COVID-19 drug, she recognized the name as a parasite treatment for her koi fish…

Dr. Daniel Brooks, medical director of Banner Poison and Drug Information Center, said in a statement: "Given the uncertainty around COVID-19, we understand that people are trying to find new ways to prevent or treat this virus, but self-medicating is not the way to do so.…

In a press conference last week President Donald Trump said the common malaria drug had "shown very very encouraging early results" in COVID-19 patients. “

From Newsweek

'common malaria drug' NOT fish tank cleaner...she knew it was a "parasite treatment for her koi fish"

No, the President didn’t say that people should take drain cleaner, fish tank cleaner or even self medicate! But if you Loath the President enough it along with everything else you think is bad was caused by him!

The story was run by the usual suspects NBC, CNN and Bloomberg! No bias there! They also mentioned the 3 Nigerians who overdosed by self medicating on Malaria medication which can be purchased without a prescription in most of the world.

Not mentioned at all was the fact that during the same briefings a number of the briefers touted the use of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for fever control! Those interested should read the horror stories about taking just a few times the recommended dose of that over the counter drug! 150 - 500 Americans die each year from a Tylenol O.D. and in excess of 50K visit an E.R.!

But The “Orange Monster” didn’t mention Tylenol did he?

Below is a link to treatment of prescribed Chloroquine O.D.s almost 200 cases and no deaths! But, in 1996 WJC was President!

Feel free to take all the Tylenol you want! But more than 4000MG/day is very bad for your liver and for some even that amount is deadly! I’ve seen those O.D.s I won’t be taking any!

Only time will tell how deadly believing the “Resist News Media” will be!

“The Truth!” is often a “movable feast”! Whether the same glass is half full or half empty depends on who is viewing it! Hating your fellow Americans because they disagree with you is also a bad idea!

You can't hate both. They're opposites.
