AMLO continues to astound me

This is from today's New York Times....

Mr. López Obrador, a leftist, has continued to wade into crowds and kiss babies. Ruling out travel restrictions, business closings or quarantine orders, last week Mr. López Obrador suggested Mexico would be spared by divine intervention as he held up two amulets he called “my bodyguards.”

“Do not panic, and please do not stop going out,” he said in a video Sunday night. “If you have the economic capacity, keep taking your families to restaurants, because that means strengthening the family and popular economy.”

It was not until Tuesday that his government closed schools, prohibited gatherings of more than 100 people and told Mexicans to stay at home. By then, the Mexico City government had already moved to shut down much of public life.

Poor people are immune to the virus...according to the governor of puebla. Furthermore he considers himself one of the poor and therefore immune.
Sadly many of the vulnerable poor will take this as fact.

Mexico is truly blessed to have a leader with Devine immunity! It is touching to see him passing through the crowd, pausing to reach out and share this gift with his believers!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Jesus walked the walk and went boldly among the masses

Countless times he touched the lepers, those that were otherwise considered "unclean" and never once shied away from the sick.
The Bible does not ever indicate that He was sick, nor that it might be an issue. But Jesus constantly waded into the masses and went where His disciples and observers were totally afraid to venture.

Um,... the story of Jesus is a fairy tale, the Bible is a collection of religious fictionalizations to teach people particular morals, the Bible is not fact, just a good fiction! Just so you know!

Woke!

“...ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.” “My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.”

I've been waiting to chime in here... bottome line, this is an unknown issue, a 'black swan' situation. If we are honest here, we are all for the same thing, "figure it out" stuff that happens that blow your mind happens once every couple hundred years, bright people pay attention and ract accordingly. If you take a idiotic side in this debate on what to do, you are exposing yourself to being a complete a hole. Reality of what you don't know is watching what you can know, I love you guys for being good entertainment :) Blanca, you did the right thing, either way, think about it

Well, he finally woke up today. Said everyone needs to stay home and not go out unless it's essential. Mentioned possibly closing down the airports. I'd like to see him close the borders.
