Lake Las Vegas. About 40 mins from the strip.

Two days ago drove about 1hr or so to the Arizona side of Lake Mead (Nevada side is completely closed). Found a dirt road into a cove and we hung out there for the day. Dog went swimming. Was thinking about camping out, but rain was in the forecast for the next morning.

I suppose this was essential travel? Have you seen that there is a stay-at-home order and community cooperation is required for the public good?
Or rules and public health requests are just inconviences to be ignored in your selfishness?

Woke!

My brother owns a business in Ohio that is critical infrastructure. He has two letters from DHS. 1) giving the right to travel no matter what local govt. curfew laws are in place and 2) the right to buy gas no matter what happens.

He gave me copies of the letters and sent me his company uniform.

Do you have such letters? Have fun hanging out in your condo.

Its one thing to choose to be socially irresponsible... another to publish the actions on the WWW.
Reminds me of young thugs posing for photos on facebook with big stacks of cash after they stuckup the 7-11.
I am curious as to why you feel that your entertainment and convenience is greater than the needs of the society you are part of.

No, he said he went to law school. He has not said he passed the CA bar exam. He did stay at a nice hotel in Lake Las Vegas, maybe even a Holiday Inn.

But, judging by his clear lack of ethics (disregarding rules, fake documents, and fake identity/uniform) he probably should be an attorney, or even perhaps our President.

A-OK JZ

Nice photo. Nice view. Great Dog. Good for JZ.

Be responsible (in your own defense) and maintain distancing, but go wherever you please for as long as possible.

Works for me. Having made (4) RTs (since the "shutdown") up to our travel trailer in the mountains and intending to make more so long as I'm not stopped once the weather clears, I've not come within 50 feet of another person at any time. Excepting the guard at the gate separated by his glass door and my pickup window.

And, although the traffic on I-10 during that 50 miles each way other than commercial trucking is lighter, I have seen hundreds of cars, pickups and even RVs going in both directions.

The problem is NOT the travel. The problem is with those social gatherings.

Being considered (as one former neighbor in Baja noted) "the most antisocial SOB around" and similarly described (in varying degrees) since childhood, social distancing is not a new concept. It is now simply a matter of degree. Actually, it's turned out to be a great excuse for what used to be considered my rude behavior.

"Loner" or "lone wolf" was a more polite description for me. I understand completely. Today I realize why my childhood heroes were Jim Bridger and Jedediah Smith.

It doesn’t look like the dog or the lady with the bike in the pictures were anywhere near another person, and were within the parameters suggested. Most would be more exposed out on your beer runs.

JZ wrote " Finished top 10% at Loyola Law School. Have an undergrad in electrical engineering, so I focused mainly on intellectual property and contracts law.

Decided not to practice. I like jobs that involve international travel too much."

Practicing law requires some sense of ethical obligations.

It is often said ..................

............ That "Legal Ethics" is an Oxymoron.

It is, without doubt, a concept of great flexibility as practiced by a significant percentage of its membership.

With many incarcerated and far more deserving to be.
