Kodiaks are springbar tents...there are a few companies making this type of tent...I think Springbar came up with the original typs of these tension
bar tents & now Kodiak and others makes them.
The best price I got on Kodiaks was from Family Tent Camping and also I bought the nice terra-cotta colour ones from White Duck Outdoors.Get the ones
with the side windows!

In case you don't have a tent, an inflatable mattress will convey the same message.

I've stayed in some canvas outfitters tents in the past that were pretty nice, one of those on a wooden platform would be a nice set up. When I think
of a tent I think of having to crawl in and out of the door but I think what you are looking at are a much nicer option. My guess is others are
thinking backpacking tent not a large, canvas "hotel".

Shari, thanks for the memories. Those whale camp tents held up so well in the thunderous and howling rain my friends and I went through.
We are all hanging in there and wish the same to you.
I hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy while we all go through this new world paradigm.

to sleep in my Trooper as long as we have full access to your kitchen, bathroom, and a strong WIFI signal!

I had an A.B. and C. plan in my quest for our home (my dream) in Baja, each was scalable. The first was a one bedroom cave on the first floor on then
tourist corridor in Cabo. We arrived the first week in June in 2018 ahead of a hurricane that turned inland but what followed was 3 days of cave
dwelling downpour. It leaked the circuits kept shorting out and it wasn't a good fit.
The second place was a 3 bedroom condo in Cerritos. The condo was too big and it had a hefty HOA fee along with the taxes and upkeep. I knew if we
bought it it would be full of freeloading relatives. No thanks.
The third place was a "little" 2 bedroom place on the Oasis across the Huerta from The Hotel California. Little is relative at 2500 SF but it lets me
deflect big crowds to the local hotels.
Fortunately we are near Hotel California and Hotelito.
