Wornout's Off-road Trips to San Felipe sites, on Relive. 2020 & 2021
Wornout leads weekly desert trips out from San Felipe and he has returned, posting them on Relive. Relive is an app that shows your trip on a
satellite view map and shows any photos you took along the way, as well as your max speed and highest elevation. Interesting if you are into maps or
Baja exploring.

Sure is a good app, but I don't like the Relive price.

Somehow, I got onto Wornout's email list, so these weekly trip links come to me automatically with his group emails.
Wornout is sort of continuing the tradition of previous El Dorado Ranch desert explorers like our late friends 'bajalou' and Bruce Barber (who wrote a
super detailed book in 2003 on the San Felipe desert geology, canyons, and a couple other regions, titled "of Sea and Sand".
A bit over a year ago, when there was a hike to Diablo Canyon, his partner (Kat) who decided to wait midway in the hike and not to go up to the
canyon, vanished upon the group's return.
The Relive app is free, but maybe upgrades cost? I loaded it on my phone in 2019 for the Trail of Missions Recon... but I didn't seem to get it fully
and the results left a lot to be desired... LOL

I do not think there was... vanished without a trace.
I just got an email from Wornout about RFClark's request to contact him:
"No problem, our Friday 'Social Separation' trips are open to everyone. We alway drive more than 6 feet apart. LOL"

At Hwy 5 Km60 enter Arroyo Matomi then he entered Arroyo Las Blancas and find the arch at the end of the drainage. 20 27.64, -114 55.55
Easy drive with deep 4x4 sand in Matomi and easy good road to the arch.

Hard to find place. He turned off Hwy 5 at Percebu then went to Old Puerticitos road then to the rock. ~30 45.36', -114 47.3' Rocky track. 4x4 for
some areas

Mike's Sky Rancho is next...
Here are some fresh details (June 15) on Mike's, as reported by Wornout:
From what Jere received from Mike, via a phone call this morning is, The Sky Ranch is open, (as is most of Ensenada (their jurisdiction), the pool is
clean, there are some fire pits in the camping area and the bar will be open.
Here is the deal (there is always a deal), Jere talked to Mike and received the following information.
Rooms are $70 - $75 per person (Includes dinner and breakfast)
Camping is $20 per car load
Meals for campers wanting meals: $35 per person and it includes both meals

The word 'cava' typically means wine cellar and not a cave (cueva).

The Ojos Negros entrance is at Km. 39.5, for reference (4 kms = 2.4 miles from that point)
