There markers are up from hwy 1 to San Vicente bridge. It makes hard Rt turn in sand wash. This will be a big time blockade for hwy 1.

So the Baja 1000 is only 898 miles?

Then it should actually be called the “Baja 898”

Or perhaps it should be called the “Baja 1000, 89.8% edition”

Woke!

I never followed the Baja 1000 much until I started using this forum (late 2014)

It seems to me, that one year the course was around 1200 miles. Was I mistaken?

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

I think correct many times they change course. Even the day before and during race.

You just can't "let it go" can you? Trump lost, fair and square.

But, you constantly accused Clinton voters of being "sore losers" in 2016?

Hypocrisy, thy name is David.

Yes, it was one or two times at least. More often it was closer to 900 miles, however... There were even a few called the Baja 1000 Km with races closer to 600 miles (1976 and 1977 come to mind).

Okay, but we all know where you're coming from. Trolling is not humor.

Why did you even bring up the election on a post about the Baja 1000, anyway? No off road racing humor you could recall?

I made a harmless joke about "rounding up" the miles to 1,000 following Goat's joke. The joke was equating that to rounding up the vote numbers. John got bent, we had a back in forth, I deleted my posts asking him to do the same (to keep this about the map)... but he chose not to leading to the confusion you are asking about.

Kind of like rounding up the number of people that attended Trump's inauguration:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: Can you imagine how wide the margin of victory might have been had Trump/Republicans made it so difficult to vote?

I'll be watching the race around Checkpoint 1. Anyone else going to be in the area?

Another issue with SCORE
The latest gps file 11.06 is missing the race mile WPs, but does have the course changes.
So-- if you want mile markers use the file 10.22
Kinda late for the folks that are in transit to deal with

The Baja 1000 has always been between 1000 KM and 1000 miles. That's why they call it the Baja 1000 or Baja mil. Simple and easy.

We're crossing at Mexicali tomorrow morning driving down the 5 headed towards 7 sisters. Any guess to the impact of the race around San Felipe?
