Behind the scenes at the Mission church in San Ignacio

The inside of the Mission Church which most of us know well!

and now behind the altar in the priest's quarters:

The rooms are very simple and the whole building is in disrepair. Padre Roberto is the one who let us in. Soon. we were met by another gentleman who was staying with his wife. He told us that he is putting together a master plan where the electricity, the plumbing, masonry, in other words, everything will be redone.

The other plan is to build some rooms and create a hostel of sorts to keep the Mission Church funded.

You are the first after me to hear about all this! I invited the priest to come and stay with us. I would enjoy hearing his stories. Let's hope he comes.

Its amazing how the water phoresis on the walls that are over 2 ft thick occurs. But on the other hand, the place has been around a while.

Is the church associated with the diocese???

Catholic H.S.'s NOB take on projects like that.

Yes, the gentleman who also went around with us is going to put the project together NOB.

I asked him to keep me appraised once it is put together, hopefully he will let me know.

Sad referring to the condition? or something else?
