Congrats to Joe Biden! Our relationship with and travel to Mexico will be changing!

Congrats to Joe Biden, the vote is done, looks like he decisively won (though I have heard that a few people are delusional and clinging to a fantasy alternative reality).

How do you think our relationships with Mexico will improve under the Biden admin?

Will cross-border traffic improve?

Will Biden Admin speed up sentri/GE reviews/approvals?

Woke!

Ah, the JJJ mantle of troll posts has been taken up by The Goat. No surprise here..................

I dont see any problem in letting the State and Federal governments decide who won the election. News media declarations of winners has been wrong in the past. See Dewey vs Truman or Bush vs Gore. But it is very unlikely that they are wrong, in this case.

I would take the advise of Joe Biden to his supporters, in the 48 hours after the election. Just be patient and let the process run it's course. The process of counting votes is NOT a process of the media.

That said, I think it is MORE likely that there will be restrictions on the border for persons crossing in both directions, under a Biden admin. Limiting the virus will be the reason given.

The only border crossers who will have an easier time will be the persons seeking asylum or those caught trying to cross illegally. The virus will be ignored, in their cases, for political reasons.

You make a comment like this, yet you call Goat a troll? Take a look in the mirror if you can find a stool to stand on. Surprise, the troll is you!

Yeah, how'd that work out for Hillary? And Al Gore?

My point is, only official government organizations can certify an election, not a news organization. I thought that was obvious. Just because news organizations declare a winner, doesnt make a candidate a winner.

News organizations can make educated guesses. But they have been wrong.

Au contraire. The President is elected by the states, not directly by the people.

The people of each state elect electors who are pledged to a particular candidate who in turn cast their vote for President on behalf of their state via the Electoral College. It is the Electoral College that elects the President and it is the Electoral College that protects the less populated states from the tyranny of the more urban and highly populated states. It is one of the most essential underpinnings of our democratic republic of sovereign states.

Our most recent and potentially most promising Supreme Court Justice reminded us of our chosen form of government when she closed her post-conformation remarks with this:

"I love the Constitution and the Democratic Republic that it establishes, and I will devote myself to preserving it."

Goat, absolutely, better relations with Mexico.
The vaccine starting later this month will have an even greater impact on border crossings.
Try to not mix up Virus with politics. Two different issues one to be solve soon.
Please remember about half of the voters do not like Biden. So don't be to hard on us losers.

Barrett is a catholic nut job. She is so over-the-op religious that she does not believe in condoms, finds gays and lesbians to be devil spawn, and wants women to go back to coat hanger abortions, she is total raving religious zealot, a fanatical 19th century relic that is gobsmacked by biblical fairytales.
Her life story shows she is a total flocking religious nut. People with such blind and all-consuming religions focus put too much reliance on fairy tales and ignore western democratic principles of separation of church and state.

FYI all agree that it should be 1 person 1 vote. If hillbillies don’t like it, they can suck it:light:

Thank you, Mr. Goat, for your most recent diatribe.

In one single post you have demonstrated that you are a complete idiot.

I trust that you are aware that Mexico is predominately Roman Catholic (82.7%) and that Mexican Catholics say the same mass each Sunday as Justice Coney Barrett.

The Catholic Church hid massive sex abuse by priests on boys. Why would any non-pedophile still be a member of the Catholic Church?
Twisted, sick people run the Catholic Church. They are still committing crimes, and church is still hiding the crimes.
Something is fundamentally wrong with Catholic Church...

Why would the relationship change with Biden? Other than some BS at first nothing changed with Trump, nor with Obama, nor with Bush. I haven't seen any real change in our relationship with Mexico since I moved to CA in 1978. Why would it change now. People still cross the border illegally. Ca has an ever increasing Hispanic population. So what is new? Lib. Dem. still want to tax everything they can, that's not new.

Trump said so many bigoted thing toward Mexicans that I lost track. Words matter. Joe won’t preach hate like trump did. Joe won’t cultivate racist hate groups like trump.

Joe won’t separate immigrant kids from parents and lock them up.

Joe won’t flock over the Dreamers.

It doesn't matter what the Mexican people think of Trump, they have no say in what he does or did. Nor do they in what Biden says or does. It's how they treat me that I care about. If they don't want me in Baja because of Trump so be it, I'll take my money elsewhere.
