'The Last Mission' (a 4x4 journey to Santa María on YouTube)

EDIT: More was added for the final Amazon Prime edition of The Last Mission: https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B08W8G7ZNC/

Don't get Amazon for free?

Here is the full Amazon TV show, free here on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/487608164

Nomads who are critical of details (like me, lol) will note a few slips:

*Hotel Mision Cataviña is called Hotel Mision Santa Maria (but their Facebook page makes that error, too)
*The cardón cactus being called saguero
*The Jesuits were ordered expelled in 1767, (but didn't board ships and leave California until Feb. 1768)
*The Santa Maria adobe mission structures were built by the Franciscans who replaced the Jesuits for 5 years in Baja. The mission was abandoned by the Dominicans after the 1774 census.

I do want to thank Robert and Pat for plugging my book at the end of the episode. To see more from Robert Marcos 4x4 shows, go to Amazon TV. 'In 4Lo' was one series he also co-produced.

We're driving El Camino del Diablo in a couple months -- will be fun to see their take on the road. They say the road runs thru the best preserved chunk of Sonoran Desert in the US.
