105 Year Old San Ignacio Photo (from Jimmy Smith)
Dave Deal (famous Baja off road cartoonist, racer, pilot, etc.) sent this and the following to me today to share with you all.
It shows a wedding about the year 1900. There's a close up of the people, if you can make it out on this reduced (for Nomad) photo. Jimmy gave the
photo to Dave Deal about 5 years ago to 'clean it up' as it was age damaged.
Note the picket fence where today's plaza is.
Thanks Dave Deal!

San Ignacio Wine Lable
Mrs. Octavio Viavicencio gave this to Dave Deal in the 1960's. Her French father (name on lable) produced the famous wine. Dave tells me he hasn't
enjoyed San Ignacio wine since 1968.

WOW, this is good stuff David. Thanks.
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

Jane at Casa Laree in San Ignacio has a wonderful collection of old photographs in her bookshop including a great photo of Jimmy Smith dancing with a
local woman. A lot of history on display and well worth a visit.

I would love to have a quality print of that to frame.

What do you think the crop is in the Wine label? Looks like it might be corn to me. If so, would it have been used for human or livestock food?
