Who has gotten covid and survived?
Just curious. I tested positive Dec 22nd. Really no symptoms other than runny nose and a slight headache for a few days. Honestly wouldn't of known I
had it if work didn't test us every week.

I haven't personally but have 9 employees who have had it with two currently having it. Currently the two have it spread through there house but are
all recovering. One of those guys 78yo. Mother in law just came down with symptoms as she lives with them. They are on guard right now. All recovered
as of now. Most of our construction projects have reported multiple cases since the start. With most now reporting cases weekly.
They had chills,fever, and now congestion. Two of our guys wives lost smell/taste as did one of our employees.

One of my employees got it after Xmas. His two college age kids also. He said it felt like a cold for 3 days.
I had a bad cough for a week in December, but tested negative.
My kids have all been tested at least 3 times and it came back negative. I got the antibody test once and it was negative.

My Forman got it and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. Was able to return home then got 2 blood clots in his lung and had to return to the hospital
again.
He is home again and has to be on oxygen all day . He has been out from work for over 2 months.
He has been told that he has damage to his lungs and will never fully recover.
So to JZ and others that continue to spend the virus by being fools i say go to ..... !

I know of one person who got it and beat it. He was around 70. It really walloped him. This was back in April.
And after all those months of knowing only one person with it, some close family friends from where I used to live in CA got it. A family of four, but
all in their 50s or below. They all have it right now but, outside of an early, bad cough and headache, they arent doing bad.
It surprises me how few I have known; living in two towns each year.

My bookkeeper had it, my son in law had it and my son had it. All at different times. All had symptoms, but nothing severe. Fully recovered now.
I like beer, better than most people.

At least five of my high school friends have caught it and one went from I have a headache to his wife calling an ambulance because he could not
breathe.
He is a doctor in Brazil. He was VERY serious and had a boatload of people that he thanked for his survival.
About 6 months ago he was with a patient and someone popped their head into his office to ask a question and coughed without a mask or covering their
mouth. After cussing out his previous generations, he had the man escorted from the hospital and not allowed back in.
Our neighbor's mom died in Florida almost a year ago now. She was in a nursing home.
Another American, older friend said she lost SEVEN friends in November!

It is completely crazy how it effects people differently. I got almost no symptoms but had a friend die after 3 weeks in the hospital.

Probably not Covid19, but similar
I got flamed as a conspiracy theorist for mentioning this before, but the worst flue I have ever had was over Thanksgiving 2019. The symptoms were so
similar to what is filling emergency rooms now, that it must have had a common ancestor with covid19.
I was sick for three weeks, and my lungs still seem to have lingering damage. They are not able to handle dust, pollen, and smoke as well as before
the infection.
Because of returning symptoms, I got tested for covid19 during the pollen dump in the Sierras this year. I tested negative, but antibody tests were
not available.

My son is a Fire Department Paramedic and has been off work for nearly a week so far with it. I'm surprised he lasted this long before catching it.
His Department has so many members off work with Covid most of the firefighters are working 5-6 days straight with only one day off in between. That
alone stretches one's immune system due to lack of sleep. Mostly he says just total body aches, loss of taste and smell and feeling exhausted.

My 31 year-old son is in the NY National Guard and was activated to do some of the dirty work (e.g. moving corpses) in the Bronx starting in early
March. He came down with the virus in mid-March, and was quarantined in a hotel for 2 weeks. He has asthma, and felt pretty rotten for about a week,
but thankfully didn't require hospitalization and fully recovered.
A former neighbor from my hometown (Farmingdale, NY) died of Covid at age 58 after what started out as "a bad flu" got steadily worse, requiring
hospitalization. Despite the fact that he had no underlying conditions - and in fact was very active and in good health - he never recovered and died
in December.

I caught it, apparently from a gas station in NW Arizona on Oct. 30, starting with a small cough and feeling strange for 2 days, and then was hit with
all the classic symptoms (headache, slight fever, cough getting steadily worse, loss of taste and smell, fatigue, and sleeping 10 hours a night for
weeks. I then gave it to my wife before I even knew I had it. Wife tested "positive", and I did not get tested because it was obvious I had it. We
both took the Dr. Domb treatment to combat it (Saline Solution spray bottle spiked with Betadine every 6 hrs up the nose) and neither of us ever had
any problems with nose, throat, or lungs. We credit the Dr. Domb treatment for saving our lungs. It took about 3 weeks for us to recover, and some
minor symptoms still linger and come and go. I am 82, and wife 76. Neither of us had/have any other problems. It was not very fun, but we were on
our feet each and every day in isolation in our house.
Both my grand daughter and her husband (both in early 30's) live in SW France (Biiaritz) and both tested positive, with only minor symptoms, and it
lasted about 10 days for them, and they are now fine.

I know dozens of people who have had covid, and 2 who died of covid. Fyi, As of today:

I have two flyfishing acquaintances hospitalized for Covid issues right now. One had a major stroke, is paralyzed on one side, speech gone, limited
cognitive abilities. The other one is on a ventilator in the ICU.

I never thought it was a "hoax", but I am amazed at how frightened people appear to be of Covid, yet go out and drive their vehicles on the highways
with little concern. That does not track for me.

Automobile accidents are not highly contagious, maybe you can track that.
