Got my second shot of the Pfizer vaccine today at Kaiser Permanente and had an interesting conversation with the LVN. I mentioned that my
sister-in-law got the J & J shot and that it really affected her for a day. The LVN said that is what they are seeing with some some
people with the JNJ shot. She went on to say that the Pfizer shots seem to be best as far as reactions go.

I got my second Pfizer shot at a VA clinic near me today. The reaction after my first shot was almost undetectable, but I was told that the second
one may be more troublesome than the first.
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

I got my 2nd Pfizer this past Sat (3/13) and I was sick for two days.

After first Pfizer shot I had a lot of fatigue for two days. Slept a lot and then was fine. Second shot I had chills overnight and then was fine
with no more side effects. I considered both events to be minor and a small price to pay for the benefits. Among my family and friends no
significant side effects have been reported for either Pfizer or Moderna. Don't know anyone who has gotten the J&J.

I got the J&J 'one and done' shot, 9 days ago... not one problem, no pain, nada.

So I actually read your above referenced paper. Here is what the lead author said about its relationship to current mRNA vaccines.
“The recommendation for caution is indeed the final line of the study’s conclusion, as published on the above link, but the lead author of the
study, Prof Chien-Te (Kent) Tseng (here), told Reuters by email that the animals in the study did not die.
He said that immunised mice “generated strong and highly protective antibody responses which fully protect immunized mice against lethal
infection”.
He said that when the animals were exposed to the live virus, they developed eosinophilia (a high count of a type of white blood cells) but, despite
this, they “found that mice survived the lethal challenge without showing any readily noticeable weight loss and other signs of illness.”
The above is quoted from a Reuters interview of Tseng!

Here is the studies conclusion, (not mine), it's something to consider.
"Conclusions
These SARS-CoV vaccines all induced antibody and protection against infection with SARS-CoV. However, challenge of mice given any of the vaccines led
to occurrence of Th2-type immunopathology suggesting hypersensitivity to SARS-CoV components was induced. Caution in proceeding to application of a
SARS-CoV vaccine in humans is indicated."
Great to be having a discussion on potential long term affects, risk versus reward of the experimental vaccines with you!

Back to the topic..... I'm 61 w/MS & hypertension but I still don't quality for a vaccine in CA. Soon I hope, I am planning to help mi suegro in
the latter part of May and early June to continue house repair work and to follow him home. We have been enjoying getting back into fly fishing this
past year, I really miss Baja Ca Sur and the SoC. Looking forward to paddling, fishing, snorkeling & whale sharks.

Sitting in my car, I saw white tents and one black tent.

Unfortunately., Multiple Sclerosis and Hypertension are excluded from the list of current eligibility. I did go on line to schedule but it rubs me
the wrong way to lie. I'm good to wait - I am retired and am not at risk of catching or spreading.
