Got my second shot of the Pfizer vaccine today at Kaiser Permanente and had an interesting conversation with the LVN. I mentioned that my sister-in-law got the J & J shot and that it really affected her for a day. The LVN said that is what they are seeing with some some people with the JNJ shot. She went on to say that the Pfizer shots seem to be best as far as reactions go.

I got my second Pfizer shot at a VA clinic near me today. The reaction after my first shot was almost undetectable, but I was told that the second one may be more troublesome than the first.

After first Pfizer shot I had a lot of fatigue for two days. Slept a lot and then was fine. Second shot I had chills overnight and then was fine with no more side effects. I considered both events to be minor and a small price to pay for the benefits. Among my family and friends no significant side effects have been reported for either Pfizer or Moderna. Don't know anyone who has gotten the J&J.

I got the J&J 'one and done' shot, 9 days ago... not one problem, no pain, nada.

A covid vaccine concern is the affect of the various covid vaccines on the overall viral mutations and potential virus immunity escape.

As more and more people become vaccinated, each vaccinated person is less dependent on natural immunity, nk cells (natural killers), general and specific anti-bodies, while the virus is in an escalating race with artificial immune responses and subsequent variants, resulting in stronger and stronger viral mutation, outside of our natural anti-viral response realm of abilities.

While vaccinated people may have an initial successful response, mutating viruses in response to vaccines puts them and those around them more so at risk of a super-virus or viral escape, creating a "zombie apocalypse".

gnukid,

So I actually read your above referenced paper. Here is what the lead author said about its relationship to current mRNA vaccines.

“The recommendation for caution is indeed the final line of the study’s conclusion, as published on the above link, but the lead author of the study, Prof Chien-Te (Kent) Tseng (here), told Reuters by email that the animals in the study did not die.

He said that immunised mice “generated strong and highly protective antibody responses which fully protect immunized mice against lethal infection”.

He said that when the animals were exposed to the live virus, they developed eosinophilia (a high count of a type of white blood cells) but, despite this, they “found that mice survived the lethal challenge without showing any readily noticeable weight loss and other signs of illness.”

The above is quoted from a Reuters interview of Tseng!

This is way more effort than is deserved by your theories! Zombie Apocalypse indeed! You need to get a life!

Here is the studies conclusion, (not mine), it's something to consider.

"Conclusions

These SARS-CoV vaccines all induced antibody and protection against infection with SARS-CoV. However, challenge of mice given any of the vaccines led to occurrence of Th2-type immunopathology suggesting hypersensitivity to SARS-CoV components was induced. Caution in proceeding to application of a SARS-CoV vaccine in humans is indicated."

Great to be having a discussion on potential long term affects, risk versus reward of the experimental vaccines with you!

Have A Great Weekend

Back to the topic..... I'm 61 w/MS & hypertension but I still don't quality for a vaccine in CA. Soon I hope, I am planning to help mi suegro in the latter part of May and early June to continue house repair work and to follow him home. We have been enjoying getting back into fly fishing this past year, I really miss Baja Ca Sur and the SoC. Looking forward to paddling, fishing, snorkeling & whale sharks.

You CAN make an appointment

https://covid19.ca.gov/

People with a high chance of exposure, high-risk, and those 65 or older are eligible for vaccination and can schedule appointments now. If you’re eligible, and live or work in certain counties, you can schedule an appointment through My Turn. Appointments are available in Spanish.

In any case I am glad to see people taking COVID seriously and getting vaccinated. I eagerly await my next Pfizer shot here in B.C.S.

Sitting in my car, I saw white tents and one black tent.
I got routed to the black tent.
They lowered the tent flaps.
It got dark and I don't remember what happened next.
I wake up and my truck is in a parking place fifty feet from the black tent.
Suddenly, my phone starts vibrating and the girl voice from Google maps starts calling my name.
I answer "what do you want"
She says in a new loud voice that "you are now 5G"
Everybody's happy and they now use me as a mobile hot spot, Never been more popular in my whole life.
Get your vaccine and bring 5G to Baja

Unfortunately., Multiple Sclerosis and Hypertension are excluded from the list of current eligibility. I did go on line to schedule but it rubs me the wrong way to lie. I'm good to wait - I am retired and am not at risk of catching or spreading.
