The hail you say!

I am not in Baja right now, but I got about four inches of heavy, wet snow yesterday here in Grass Valley CA. The streets were frozen slush this morning, but the sun is out now!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Been raining off and on the last couple days.

Dogs are in the house so they don't get all muddy.

Funny, our dogs love the rain and wet, they like the novelty of rain and mud,... just keep towels by the door to wipe the mud off when they get dirty (and when really bad, have them wade in the pool to get worst off)

We have gotten clouds and wind (and a 30 sec. period of large drops), but the days are still in the low 70s.

Today is predicted to reach only 68, which would be the first day with a high below 70 in probably a month. We did have one day reach 87 in February at our house, which is about 0.8mi from the coast. Maybe three other days in the low 80s. The rest generally in the low-mid 70s.

Still, this feels like the second cooler-than-normal winter in a row. Ocean temp off San Carlos sank into the low 60s by early December. Some years it doesnt get that low until Feb or March. More than normal wind from the SW and SSW (rather than WNW, which would travel over more land and warm up) has meant cooler afternoons. This has been an above average winter for winds, too.

Only one winter rain has occurred. About 1.6 inches over 48 hours in January. The drought continues in our area, after a VERY dry monsoon season in 2020.

Cool but gorgeous here in La Bocana. Such a blue sky today! I just took this photo a couple minutes ago from our front porch.

Low 60's sounds very chilly for early December. All the years we went down there you could count on swimming until Thanksgiving.

I left them out yesterday. They loved it. They were a dirty mess. The pup has a lot of pure white coat, and it was totally brown. Wish I would have taken a pic. Good thing the wife didn't see them.

55steve, Ill be passing by your place this time next year on the PCT, I'm starting early but hope I won't have snow....
Today is almost 60 and perfect for a ride on the KTM. Just cool enough to not really get hot while enjoy some single track and not freeze on the highway. Snow and rain coming in tomorrow.
