That's great to hear.
I was going to suggest an inmate on advrider that winter's at Posada Conception to see what he could do, but sounds like it's taken care of.

I agree. Southbound is checked fairly consistently. Northbound not so much.

This has been my experience also. Multiple NB crossings with 2 dirtbikes and a side by side on a flatbed trailer. No reggie was asked for. South bound, different story.

Glad she found help.

Lucky me! I found a guy with an empty truck bed - hauling a boat to Washington state and happy to add the KLR just for gas share money. San Jose is on the way, yay! Thanks everyone!

Ignorant:
lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.

Ya, I don't think so.

A favor? My Kawasaki KLR650 was just recovered (long dramatic story!) and is in a friend’s garage south of Mulege on MEX 1 at KM 112.

I think @missadventuring has to tell the story of the "long dramatic story" in order to gain credibility, then let those that may extend a helping hand decide whether to give a hand or not based on the facts of the story. Otherwise, it's a "trust me, the check's in the mail" story.
Ged has a valid point... there's no way in hell would a border agent let that bike into the USA without the registered owner present.

if the shoe fits....

"sorry you had to endure the speculation of the ignorant here" comment was clearly meant to be derogatory and to insult. Noted.....
