Is the cbp gov crossing site now accurate

https://bwt.cbp.gov/index.html?com=0&pas=1&ped=0&...

for years it was laughable to view this .gov site for accuracy. But have been looking at the times now listed here for going into the USA from Mexico and the times now look like what I have experienced. TJ and such being 3-4 hours.

can someone confirm that they do not have pretty accurate crossing times.

Then second to that, if looking at texas and Az crossing times, why are those all roughly 1/3 the time? Why do they have such a differentiation.

Get Sentri. It only takes 15 mins to cross.

JZ thanks, our minds are in the same train of thought....

sentri is difficult to get when I am 1000 miles away from the border and some locations are one year application appointment dates. I looked about 3 days ago coincidently.

With pets, dog, cat, turtles and two unofficially adopted kids that live with me it makes it hard to plan for a week ahead at times. The kids do not have visas to enter the USA, have tried to convince their mother to do the paperwork for them as she has never lived with me and has not been willing, well she is now willing to but no visa applications are being scheduled at this point. So most I leave for is 3 days, so fly.

I do see a path getting global entry next time I come to usa when I fly in where you do the interview as you enter at several locations no appointment needed, but would bet there is a long wait for it, which would be worth it. Then adding in a vehicle to the account via sentri next time that they say takes up to a year is what I read, added fee Sentri. The information was not very detailed on the website once you apply for the added part. A friend just applied for the sentry 2 days ago with her global so will see. If anyone has more details on this was it would be appreciated on validity of this approach.

Added I generally fly now to tj with CBX so not a issue for me. I am looking at the wait times for friends heading back to the USA.

Can global entry be used at the walk across border crossing at the sentry kiosks? It is not clear.

Experience of one

We crossed north at Calexico East last Wednesday, regular lanes. Two lanes were open, just as the site had indicated.

I had watched the two previous Wednesdays between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. and those two weeks showed the wait time to be pretty close to 45 minutes.

We got in line at 7:20, crossed at 8:05 - just as the two previous weeks wait time showed. I can't check the site we used but soon as I post this message i'll go back and edit this with the link we used.

edited to add:

Here it is. https://bwt.cbp.gov/details/09250301/POV

I took a look at this morning actual wait and it is still showing 45 minutes at around 7:30 ro so.

If you keep refreshing the CBP site you can get appointments for interviews much faster.

The 1 year thing is not true any more. Someone just had a thread on it the other day.

Sentri is must have for traveling to Baja.
