Tidiana's kids Childrens Day and tutors

Most of you know that we are tutoring 4 kids whose family does not have running water in the house, does not have electricity and Mom does not know how to read.

They have been busy getting geared up for last Fridays childrens day by creating crazy hats and Jireth dressed up.

and here is Sannia with her pay for the week! We had to move Jireth to a new teacher and Sannia is her angel. Jireth is learning well and enjoys her new tutor.

All the tutors are hanging in there. They had a well deserved break with a 3 day weekend for childrens day.

Thanks to you and the tutors!
Please remind me how we can donate to support their work.

I was just talking with a friend who is visiting family in San Blas, and she has the same concerns for students in that community. She calls it the "lost year" for them.

I mentioned this program and your work to recruit older students to tutor younger ones.

Since she is only visiting a short time, she won't be able to create anything like what you have done. I'm sure there are many, many families in similar situations all around Mexico.

No summer tutoring since the students have worked so hard this whole year. Both tutors and students need a well deserved break.

Regular teachers got vaccinated today! They went to Guerrero Negro and are all relieved to get the first dose.

Next year perhaps in person classes. I hope I hope I hope.

I have given the situation a lot of thought and would like to continue having Jireth tutored next year so that she continues succeeding and passing all her classes. She has a learning disability and struggles. n Up for it Lencho? I believe the others will do fine.

whale-ista Do you have zelle? That is the best way to get funds to me, since there is no charge. The tutors get 400 pesos a week, 1600 a month or US$80. I sure could use some help!
