Well, I am glad I got to know a different Mexico instead of one that is looking more like any American city!
Steekers, please follow up with any more details. Were these innocent people, rather than cartel members?

Yes. Been there for several years.
It has been closed due to covid. Do not know it it is now open.
It is across the street from the justice center just south of the Malecon.
