Stopped by a fish store here in Poland

We went on a day trip to a town called Mikolajki (pronounced meeko why key) and I entered a shop that sold fish just for the fun of it.

Our Baba would smoke Eel, that Dedo caught in the canals of Indiana.

They were "Bohunks" from around that region.

"Bohunks" - I haven't heard that term in ages. Bohemian + Hungarian?

and I never heard the term bohunks before!

Baba means an older woman in Polish and I was once called a Baba Yaga by a woman who was carrying something heavy and she thought I was taking too long to get out of her way! Old Hag LOL

Around the south side of Chicago, it was one of the nicer terms used to describe Gypsies.
Dedo was a "finger", he would pick your pocket and hand you back your stuff. Amazing card tricks too.

Keep your head on a swivel Blanca, that's were he learned it all.
