The 1949-1950 Mission Photos from Marquis McDonald

... who authored this book in 1968:

are now hosted at www.vivabaja.com in two links, with other old mission photo links. One for the color photos and the other for all the photos:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peveril Meigs' Northern Baja Photos from 1925 to 1936

Marquis McDonald's Color Mission Photos of 1949-1950

All the Marquis McDonald Mission Photos

Howard Gulick's Baja photo collection from the 1950's and 60's

Many more of Howard Gulick's (and Harry Crosby's) Photos

Harry Crosby's Photos and El Camino Real Details

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unfortunately, the first photo link with captions and enlargeable thumbnails is in need of some serious editing!

The captions don't all tell the facts, and when you click on a thumbnail to view the larger image, a different mission photo appears (but with the original mission caption, it seems)!!

I will make it a project to produce a cheat sheet so you may find the correct, enlarged photos!

For example, clicking on a San Vicente mission photo gives you this Santa María photo from the 1949-1950 trip:
