Say a prayer for Roy, 'The Squarecircle' on Nomad.

A few of us Nomads, who have traveled with Roy, are closely monitoring his condition.
The past year has been really rough on The Squarecircle (not Covid) and he has been in and out of hospitals, unable to walk, and not improving.
TMW and I visited Roy at a care facility not too long ago, and he was all smiles but not happy about his condition.

He is in a bad way and maybe your positive thoughts or prayers could lift his soul a bit?

Thanks Shari. Roy came to Asuncion, following us in 2007.
He liked talking to animals... your puppy may not have been interested!

Roy had a unique ability to rub the tail end of a fly. Shari can verify it.

Indeed. He showed me how he could hypnotize a dragonfly, on our Mission Santa María trip, when we hiked down the arroyo to the drop off.

2006 Baja Pits Meeting, Santee CA

In 2006, we traveled with The Squarecircle to the Baja 500 and Baja 1000, helping Carlos (of Baja Pits) with radio communications.

At one of the pit meetings, ahead of the race, we had Josh with us (Elizabeth's mechanic/ fabricator son) who worked for Ivan Stewart's son, Craig, at Stewart's Race Works. Josh was going with us to help at the Baja 1000.

Roy (The Squarecircle) was there, too and he and Josh would have some really fun debates on the best kind of racing car, etc. Roy was into Japanese performance while Josh was totally an American V-8 fan.

Photos from that 2006 meeting:

Here is our pit at El Crucero:
