INEGI new Topo Key
My latest investigation needed to use the INEGI topo maps.
I am using https://www.inegi.org.mx/temas/topografia/ per Davids link to find maps using my Localizacion key. Trouble the key has changed and I cannot find
the new key.
Example I wanted to view H11B45 for the canyons on the east side of the mountains.
My old saved Pdf H11B45 was dated 1993 was called San Rafael, and the 2016 version of H11B45 is now called Mikes Sky Ranch and covers a slightly
different area. Sure looks like the topo and place names remain the same, at least not any noticable change in my view?
So, How do I find the new Key?
Please dont refer to the various keys published on Nomad.
Bickimapa has instructions for uise of the new Key but are links are broken.

At the website you linked, click on 50,000 scale and zoom the map. Click on individual rectangles I. Map view to see available 50,000 scale maps for
download.

Correct and the map labels have changed.
Yes I can get the list and pick out the map by the old H11 number. Seems like the old way was much easier by using the key and just getting one not a
choice of many.

I like the choices. The geopdf (and others) is good for GPS programs. Some non-gaps compatible versions have better graphics for reading. And the
multiple date versions can be interesting.

I use the "download" section
select state
select scale
and tell them the page I want
works much smoother than it used to

Yes, what 4x4abc says -
Go to https://www.inegi.org.mx/temas/topografia/#Descargas
Paste your map key code into the search box
Then narrow your search by changing the Escala to 1:50 000
It then shows a few maps for various formats and years. These all appear to cover the same expected area for the key.
For my CalTopo work, I downloaded *all* of the available 50k maps for Mexico. Only a few maps here and there turned out to be mislabeled, or otherwise
incorrect.

Great to see all the GeoPDFs are new (2019) from the few I just looked at in Baja Norte. 50k scale. When I looked at a 20k (2020) map, it was just
outlines, no detail?? Did I pick a bad one? 
Man, I could spend days looking at these.

Using the latest link for finding maps. Sure, makes it easier than in the old days.
As noted above one can choose the date on "Edition Todas" and just get one or none on the list. Leave the entry blank and get all versions.
Geofff: On the form where did you enter “all”?
Can you post your merged Baja INEGI Maps?
B45 comments:
The new name for B45 between 2015 and 2016 tripped my question about a new grid key to see what else has changed. Still no luck searching for an
up-to-date grid. It appears the grid numbers are the same.
Regarding B45
I noticed that the 1974 version is the same as the 2016 version with regard to Copal and Copalito. That is Copalito is part of Copal instead of a
separate canyon. Copalito merges with Copal west of the valley. Need to correct my canyon list. Canyon entrance is 31 6.25, -115 4.2
B25 Comment:
Checkout 2016 B25 to see if the Pole line map has changed from what we were using back in the day. Hard to see and detail changes.

Interesting map that I have used before. Maybe I do not know how to use it? From my use it bears no resemblance to the INEGI topos

That is an INEGI topo map at that link. Zoom in. Use the layers option to see other maps.

To hard. I focused on the mine N of SF and many roads on INEGI are missing on cal topo.
Any way to get the cal topo settings to show the real INEGI maps?

I will await Geoffff to reply, because I am seeing the same map on Caltopo as on the INEGI pages. The layers allow you to change the map... On a PC,
it's over on the side menu. On a phone, in the upper right corner.

the 2019 G12C59 SAN LUIS GONZAGA topo download on INEGI is dead
your browser will show the image
but your dedicated pdf app will not
almost every new sheet from INEGI has some edits on it

Paul, here is a direct link to the Caltopo map website with the INEGI 50k showing. It is called "Scanned Topos" in their menu (though most of the
INEGI 50Ks used are not actually "scanned"). Yes, that website is complicated. But this direct link should make it easy-ish:
https://caltopo.com/map.html#ll=27,-113&z=8&b=t
The link automatically switches you to Scanned Topos mode, and centers you on Baja.

That is what I found as well. That's why I stuck with 50k maps for the CalTopo project.
Hah! No, it's is not on the form anywhere. I had to made myself some tools to automate the process.

Yes, that GeoPdf image is corrupted. The start of the file is fine, but about ⅓ the way through the data bytes become all zeros. I ended up using
the 2003 version of G12C59 for CalTopo.

Thanks, Got it and it works great.
I thought I could view it by using one of the settings but no luck
