RIP MR. D

He was one of a kind. I and my whole family and many friends have 45 years of fond memories and great times in both his joints. We had an early dinner there 4 weeks ago (prime rib carved table side out of a vintage cart) and got to chat with Mr. D and Sara for a bit. He was still smiling and happy that we said hello.

End of an era.

Fond memories haven't been there in 25yrs. I wonder if things changed after being bought out in 2002

The infamous banana daiquiris, the fresh baked chips, smoked marlin dip and a whole fired fish. Got a wheelbarrow to the car:bounce::biggrin::barf: .

So sad. Was just there on Thursday for lunch and nobody mentioned a thing. He was always a presence and at times a bit rough around the edges, but whenever he would stop by our table and we would share with him what we were celebrating, he would share a shot of tequila with us. He will certainly be missed.
