See the marker on the east side?
If you follow Graham on his Facebook page, you know he was going out there for the holidays... a year after his last time.

This is the weather site he likes to get forecasts from when deciding what day to make the panga crossing or move to another spot by kayak: https://www.windfinder.com/forecast/bahia-de-los-angeles

Hi Barry, I have in the past... when he moved around the island a lot... I don't expect him to be as mobile this time, but never can tell!

I will be at the in-laws this weekend, so won't be able to make a map if he does move, until later.

Merry Christmas!

That's good. If he was seeing the rain we are here he'd be miserable.

Looks like the rain is about to let up for him. But the wind is gonna pick up.

After today it will get nice and sunny. About 70 degrees.

I sent Graham a "Happy New Year" this morning...

11:49 am reply...
Message: Happy New Year. Thanks for everything. So glad big rain over. One poor osprey pair had nest washed off a cliff.

Graham is off the island 1-4-22

Posting from Bahía de los Angeles, yesterday of his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/graham.mackintosh.71

"Bahia de los Angeles. All safely back from a special Christmas and New Year on Isla Angel de la Guarda. Back from 12-13 days alone on the big island. Really remote. Didn’t see anybody. Not even a distant panga.

Chose same location as last Christmas – a slot in the cliffs near Punta Rocosa, sheltered from all except an east wind. First few days amazingly mild. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Warm west winds.

So many ospreys. Catching fish at will. Lovely canyon hikes. Mammillaria fruits in abundance. Great kayaking exploration. Palm trees high on the cliffs. Easy fishing for Sierra, trigger fish and bass. All catch and release… bears insisted.

So much to see… finback whales and dolphins cruising the coast, owls… so many birds.

Special Christmas. Kayaked to see the sunrise. Thought of all the wonderful Christmases I’d enjoyed, and the loved ones who had made it happen. Especially when I looked at my Christmas dinner. “Tree” decorated. Presents shared.

Balmy and beautiful. But towards end of December, weather was about to become the story. 2021 wasn’t going to let us go that lightly."
